SVG Xray helps you inspect the contours within an SVG file. You can select subpaths, compare them with the original view, and copy their path data. Processing takes place locally in your browser. The current version supports the SVG features listed below.

Supported SVG features

Inspected and counted

Explicit <path> elements with the M, L, H, V, C, S, Q, T, A and Z commands.
Transform attributes on the path element and its ancestor groups.
The viewBox viewport of the root element.

Shown in the preview, not counted as subpaths

Basic shapes: rect, circle, ellipse, line, polyline, polygon.
Text elements.
Embedded images (external resources are not loaded in the safe preview).

Not parsed

<use> and <symbol> references are not expanded into instances.
CSS-driven geometry is not part of the inspection.
Scripts never run in this tool.

Categories describe inspection support only; unsupported features may still appear in the original preview.
